It's Been a Bit

I can't believe how quickly 2024 is passing by! It's been a busy two months for me in the shop...full of new yarns, kits, and extras. Drop by to see for yourself...perhaps tomorrow night (Wednesday March 6th) for Sip & Stitch or during one of the In-store knit and crochet classes that are starting this week!

I'm also happy to report that Megan has joined the store staff and is such a bright addition!

Beverly had a photo shoot for her 1st birthday!

Knitting California Beanie Kits

I'm completely obsessed with the Nancy Bates beanie designs. My obsession started with Knitting the National Parks and continues with Knitting California!

I've assembled kits with the yarns I used in the store samples as well as the tags to identify your beanie. And I'll be teaching a class on knitting color work where you will create your own beanie!

Cotton and Cotton Blends for Spring

Spring is just around the corner, so I've been stocking the shop with new cotton and cotton blend yarns!

Here are a few of the new ones...

Cumulus - Made from Israeli Mako Cotton with just a hint of nylon. Available in Solids, Stripes, and Rainbow.

Vernazza - Wraps colorful viscose around a core of undyed cotton and linen.

Tillie - Hand-dyed yarn made of pima cotton and cupro, a sustainable silk-like byproduct of cotton processing.

Zauberperlen Cotton - Magical 7-ball rings of gradient colors in smooth, cool 100% Long-staple Greek Cotton.

Sami XL - Crafted from beautiful organic Peruvian Pima cotton, this luxurious yarn not only caresses your skin with a silky softness but also brings joy to every stitch.

I just finished the Iris Shawl (pictured) in Cumulus using a Solid and a Rainbow.

Sip & Stitch every 1st Wednesday of the Month

All the fun of wine tasting in the comfort of your local yarn shop! We had our 1st event in January and it was so much fun that we decided to make it a monthly event.

Come by the shop tomorrow (Weds March 6th) between 4 - 6 PM to socialize, sample wines, and stitch! Course & Wale wine makers from Paso Robles pour their wines, Knit One (Cab Sav), Purl Two (Chard), and Tink (Rose) and I provide light snacks.

This event is FREE and does NOT require advance sign-up.

Squishy New Project Bags

Dumpling bags are my new favorite project bag!

These bags come in multiple sizes to accommodate a variety of projects and they're reversible! Choose a fun print and rock it… or turn the fun print inside for a personal pop of color that still coordinates on the outside with your simpler look.
