Celebrate with us, the growing family of our Camp and Conference Coordinator, Rev. Shandra Yost-Soltani. Roxana Ann Soltani arrived May 11th, and so Shandra will be out of the office on maternity leave through the month of July 2022.

To both allow Shandra and her family the time they are afforded after this addition, recovery for Shandra, and to ensure a successful camping season, the following arrangements have been made. 

With the support of the Camp & Conference Committee, the Regional Personnel Committee, and the Executive Committee, Jenna Beck, Rev. Dr. Lara Blackwood Pickrel, and Rev. Laura Ann Phillips have been tasked with ensuring a fantastic camping season for our campers, counselors, and directors. Between the three of them, there are many years of camping experience at Tall Oaks Camp & Conference Center, (and others) and they are dedicated to making 2022 a wonderful summer experience.

While there is much that goes on behind the scenes, one incredibly important face of this work is the administration of each individual camp. Negotiating scheduling needs with Tall Oaks, ensuring background checks for each director and counselor, managing financial reimbursements and incident/accident reports are just a few examples of this kind of liaison administrative work for each individual camp.

Each camp has been assigned one of these three individuals to serve as Camp Administrator to navigate this work and serve as liaison between the Camp Director, the Regional Office, and Tall Oaks personnel. Camp Administrators will serve in addition to the already arranged Camp Directors who remain onsite and in charge for the entirety of each camp.
