| Use of the new Class 9 Lithium Battery Label A significant change has been made for the display of the Class 9 HazMat label on certain packages of lithium batteries or cells. A new HazMat label specific to lithium batteries is being phased-in to replace the tradtional Class 9 Miscellaneous label (which will continue in use for other HazMat).
