Dumela (Hello) everybody from all of us in the Desert & Delta Safaris family. Despite difficult times for our industry, here at Maun head office we are looking at the long-term with great excitement and have been hard at work crafting new ideas and experiences for our future travelers.

We are not ones for inundating you with newsletters so we promise to pack this, and future mailers, with useful information!

We have a number of new products and developments happening this year starting off with the launch of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans Sleep Out with more to come in the coming months.

NEW LEROO LA TAU SALT PANS SLEEP-OUT

Experience the remoteness of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans

We've spent the last 12-months developing a product we know you will love.

Sleep out under a blanket of stars across the endless Botswana sky on one of the world's largest salt flats - the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. A place so remote both sound & light pollution are non-existent. An experience described by many as life-changing. With nothing more than a cozy bed between you and the vastness around you, the sleep out takes place on a remote salt pan in the southern area of the Makgadikgadi Pans.

This is a safe and fully guided excursion with your Leroo La Tau team on hand to help setup camp, prepare meals and ensure on departure your remote sleeping place is as untouched as you found it.

NOTE: We have prepared a Sleep-Out factsheet, FAQs document and helicopter transfer rates sheet. Every guest should familiarize themselves with the FAQs document to ensure they are prepared. More images, video and information will be shared when available.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Opening of camps and COVID-19 related protocols

With international travel down to a bare minimum only Camp Moremi is operational for bookings until end February 2021.

All other camps are available for new bookings for all guests from 1 March 2021 onwards.

All camps adhere to strict COVID-19 hygiene standards and operation information can be downloaded HERE or available on our website in more detail.

We know that travel requirements for travelers is ever evolving and will do our best to keep the information up to date but for any specific questions please let us know.

In the meantime our team remain committed to going out of our away to assist our travel partners and future travelers with forward bookings and arrangements on the ground. We will do what it takes.
