Growth Groups

There are nine different opportunities to participate in growth groups during this Lenten Season - it's not too late to get involved! It is my hope that you will jump into a growth group during these 40 days of lent.

Wednesdays in Lent

Join us for growth groups, a meal, and evening prayer. Contact Emily Blom if you would like to help serve a simple catered meal each week. A free will donation will be received to cover the cost of the Wednesday meal.

Pastor Nate and Pastor Mike will lead the congregation in a short Evening Prayer Service beginning at 6:15. All are welcome.

How long have you been attending New Life & what brought you here initially?

We have been attending New Life for about 8 years. Our family was looking for a local Lutheran Church to attend.

What are your goals for your board/position for the upcoming year?

My goal as co-chair of outreach is to help our church tell its story to the community and connect our members to opportunities to assist others in need in our community. I believe there are new residents looking for a church home that don’t know what we are about or that we are here and what we have to offer.

What is your favorite pizza topping?

Black olives

Dogs or Cats? I love all animals so dogs AND cats.

How long have you been attending New Life & what brought you here initially?

My family and I have been attending New Life for 9.5 years now. We moved from Illinois where we attended an ELCA church that we really liked. We were glad to see we had an ELCA church in Norwalk when we moved her because Sheila accepted a position with the school district. We've never regretted it at all. New Life is a wonderful church family!

What are your goals for your board/position for the upcoming year?

My goals for my position of Financial Secretary are to make sure I accurately document the gifts we receive and communicate with the council our financial standing. I also want to be better about getting quarterly reports sent to our members to make sure they can view and let me know if there are any discrepancies.

What is your favorite pizza topping?

Sausage and mushrooms.

Dogs or Cats? I am definitely a dog person!
