Authority Status
HealthWest is preparing for the potential of becoming its own government authority on Oct. 1. This decision will ultimately be made by the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners.
One of the required steps to becoming an authority is to hold three public hearings. While we do not believe that the public, including those we serve, will notice an impact in our move to authority status, they are certainly welcome to attend and learn more/ask questions.
SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARINGS ON AUTHORITY STATUS:
- Friday, June 24, 8:30 am, MHC
Separate meetings will be held for staff to discuss the potential of moving to authority status. Included below, you will find a link to our project plan and the presentation that will be shared during the hearings.
