Thank you to those who participated in and volunteered at the successful Chamber Golf Outing that took place on Thursday, July 11th, at Shamrock Heights Golf*Eat*Drink*Banquet*Cater.  The weather was awesome and all in attendance had a great time. 


We had several lucky raffle winners who left with great prizes.  A big "Thank You" to all our members who donated an item for either the numerous raffles or the outstanding door prizes.

Please be sure to attend this exciting educational and networking opportunity for Chamber members. On the third  Wednesday of each month from 8 - 9:15 a.m. join the Chamber in the St. Joseph Residence Chapel (please park on road) for our monthly business briefing / networking session.  


St. Joseph Residence will provide coffee and snacks for each session. Come join us and learn what's happening with the Chamber and each other. Each of you will be given the opportunity to introduce yourself and your business and share something about your business that you want others to know. Use this opportunity to promote and educate yourself with the offerings of other Chamber members. In addition, we encourage you to invite either an existing Chamber Member, a prospective Chamber Member or a public service person to the meeting. We will have a great prize drawing and a lot of networking opportunities.


A monthly reminder e-mail will be sent out to everyone on our e-mail distribution lists on Monday the week of the sessions. Business Share Plan Now Available

Cellcom has launched a new plan that offers shareable data for business customers. The Business Share Plan lets employees share data with up to 100 devices within the same business account. Cellcom's Business Share Plan includes:

  • Unlimited nationwide talk and unlimited messaging
  • Mobile hotspot, basic or visual voicemail, caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling
  • Shareable data for all devices on an account on the same plan.


To build a Business Share Plan, businesses first select up to 100 devices and pay a monthly line charge for each device. The cost ranges from $20 to $40 depending on the type of device. Then the business chooses up to two data buckets ranging from 500MB to 100GB. Depending on the amount of data selected, each data bucket can be shared with a maximum of 10, 25 or 50 devices.  See More...

Program Seeks Funds to Start Up in Marathon County
Sandi Cihlar of Mosinee is excited to see a dream of hers become reality: the Rural Health Initiative is expanding into Marathon County. The initiative is designed to improve farmers' health by taking healthcare directly to them by sending a nurse free-of-charge to their farm to provide information, referrals to area services, and listen to health concerns.  See More...

Shepherd of the River Lutheran Church's First Pastor  

On Sunday August 18th, 2013, Shepherd of the River Lutheran Church will install their first called pastor. At 2 p.m. the Reverend David Kohls of Fond du Lac will be installed in the Chapel of St Joseph's Residence of New London.   Shepherd of the River was formed in October of 2009, holding its first worship service in the chapel of St. Joseph Residence in New London and has remained there ever since.   This will also be Pastor Kohls' first parish assignment.

Historic Third Ward, Milwaukee Museums Included in Tour Options

The reservation deadline is Monday, August 5, for the Friends of the New London Public Museum (FNLPM) Milwaukee Museums & History Motorcoach Tour. The tour takes place on Friday, August 16, 2013, and is open to FNLPM members and the general public. Passengers can choose from tour options ranging from exploring Milwaukee's museums on their own for the day to a guided tour option showcasing Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.  See More...

 5th Annual Fehlberg Memorial Veteran's Ride

Donates $23,725.27 to Local Veterans Charities

Honoring our service men and women, the 5th Annual Fehlberg Memorial Veteran's Ride, which was held on Saturday, June 8th in New London, has donated $23,725.27 to local veterans charities.


In its fifth year, this 163 mile motorcycle ride included 265 registered bikes with 465 participants.   The scenic route traveled throughout Waupaca County making stops at the Northland Ballroom just outside of Iola, downtown Rosholt and Nature's Edge in Waupaca.    


The ride was created to honor and raise funds for local veterans. The dedicated committee works throughout the year planning this annual event.   


The committee was proud to present the following checks; $15,478.57 to Old Glory Honor Flights of NE Wisconsin, $6185.02 to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 53 and $2,061.68 to the VFW Relief Fund Post # 2732.


Lucky winners throughout the day of the event included; Steve Stephen of New London winning the 2013 Harley Davidson Switchback, Hugh Roberts of Fremont winning $500, Dustin Laux of New London winning $300 and Jill McKeever of Weyauwega winning $200.


The committee would like to thank all of the behind the scenes volunteers, the New London Police and Fire Departments and the many sponsors that made the event possible.
