Many of you have seen the social media buzz, and heard the rumors. We're excited to finally announce the brand new Boyd Lake Bash Multisport Festival, set to take place this September 7t
h, 2019 in Loveland, CO! We know you'll have a ton of questions, so we tried to touch on the main ones below. Your support online as we hinted at "something new" has been nothing short of amazing. We can't thank you enough, and we promise there's much more in the pipeline for future seasons.
The Boyd Lake Bash is limited to just 400 total athletes this first season, so escape the ordinary, and we'll see you all at summer's end!
What makes this event so exciting: Who doesn't love new?!?! A new challenge, new setting, new friends, and best of all new experiences. We're offering a traditional sprint distance, but also a new super-sprint distance, stand-up paddle-board sprint triathlon, nontraditional aquabike and aquathlon distances, and a few running races to get the whole family involved! It's a lot going on, be sure to choose the right adventure for you.
How would you best describe the vibe of this new event: If you missed the laid back, beginner friendly, beach party that was the Summer OPEN Triathlon, this will replace that hole in your heart! It'll also have 70-74 degree water ;) The Boyd Lake Bash has one of the best venues we've seen on the front range! The beer will be flowing after you cross the finish line, the vegan food options will be plentiful, and did we mention you can camp just 200ft from the transition area?
Can I use my discounted entry credit for this event: Yes, all earned discounted entries through volunteering this season can be applied to the Boyd Lake Triathlons! Please just contact Olympia to redeem your credit.
This wasn't the race I had my fingers crossed for:
Some of you had your fingers crossed for a new XTERRA, some for a 140.6 event, other's for a gravel triathlon, and some even for just a big party with beer and bouncy castles! We love all the support, and just wanted to let you know that some of the events you hoped for are truly in the works, especially if you like to play in the dirt ;) (yes, that's a hint)
Is this production a collaboration: Yes!
T
his is the first time in our short 12 year history we're collaborating with another triathlon production company - Breakaway Athletic Events. JB Tobin has worked for Without Limits over the past 2 seasons, and shares our passion and vision that triathlon is a lifestyle centered on healthy living!
What does the future of this event hold, we've heard more rumors: Love those rumors, and after a successful 2019 event we do plan to expand on this weekend. Our tagline "Escape the Ordinary" hints that the additions for 2020 will be events that have never taken place before in the Colorado triathlon community.
(Limited to just 400 total athletes in 2019)
Escape the ordinary this season,
Lance, JB, and the entire Without Limits & Breakaway Athletic Events Teams!
