How do I request board up and/or clean up services?
City of Chicago businesses that need to request board up support to secure their business should call 3-1-1 or contact your local chamber of commerce or business service organization. Find your local chamber:  www.chicago.gov/nbdc

Visit  www.transitchicago.com  for service updates. Also, subscribe to  CTA Updates  for information and alerts to your e-mail inbox or phone.

How can I sign up for City of Chicago alerts?
NotifyChicago is the City of Chicago's tool for providing residents with direct emergency and non-emergency information. The City of Chicago urges residents to subscribe to receive alerts sent directly to mobile phones or email accounts to stay informed. To sign up, visit  www.NotifyChicago.org

Is the curfew still in place?
Yes- now and until further notice, the City is operating under a curfew for all residents and visitors effective from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

What is the downtown restricted zone?
Until further notice, access in the Central Business District and Loop area will only be given to employees whose businesses are located within the designated boundaries and individuals who reside in the surrounding area and are engaged in essential activities as defined in the Municipal Code, Order 2020-3 (listed  here  under Section 2.5). The boundaries of the restricted zone are as follows:

  • Division Street from Lake Shore Drive to Halsted Street
  • Halsted Street from Division Street to Milwaukee/Grand Avenue
  • Milwaukee Avenue from Grand Avenue to Kinzie Street
  • Canal Street from Kinzie Street to Cermak Road
  • 26th Street from State Street to Lake Shore Drive
  • Cermak Road from Canal Street to State Street
  • State Street from Cermak Road to 26th Street

Monday-Friday 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

While we may be at home, our hearts are with our community. Bennett Day School has created a collaborative art installation outside the school’s playground to remind the community that we’re all in this together. This month, students and families were mailed wooden hearts as an invitation to contribute to the installation, pulling creative minds together to create a colorful installation for the whole community to enjoy.
Proud to share that Comcast Business has joined more than 40 companies in the #StandForSmall coalition to support small businesses navigating COVID-19. Small businesses are the heart of our communities, and we are here to serve them every day.
We have added weekend lunch hours at Belmont and West Loop and Schaumburg and Vernon Hills will be open for pick up and delivery starting Friday, May 22nd at 1p.m.!
