Framingham Releases New Business Diversity Collection
Framingham’s Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC) and the City of Framingham released its new Business Diversity Collection earlier this month. The goal of the collection, which is available at the Choose Framingham website, is to strengthen and support Framingham businesses owned by people from a variety of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well as genders and sexual orientations. Businesses from around the City were invited to submit their information to become a part of the collection.
The collection is meant to act as a resource for members of the community seeking to support diverse businesses and employers. Businesses who are interested in being part of the directory can still participate - they should fill out an online form. To be included in the collection, businesses are required to be located in Framingham and to be BIPOC-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, owned by a member of the LBGTQ+ Community, and/or owned by an individual or individuals with a disability. All submissions are voluntary.
