We’re Global RAIS Energy & Storage Solutions. You may be familiar with our technology but less familiar with our name. We purchased the IP and other assets of the former TenK Solar company. Read on to find out more about us and why we do solar differently. 

Who We Are

In mid-2019 Greg Cox and Dr. Todd Broome formed Spectrum Solar, LLC to bring the innovative TenK Solar technology back to the solar PV market. Experience with the benefits of solar products and solutions led them to bring this innovative technology back to the market. After the IP and assets sale was finalized, Spectrum Solar, LLC, started doing business as Global RAIS^® Energy & Storage Solutions. Dr. Garrick Villaume, one of the early TenK Solar team members, and Dr. Robin Cox, a sustainability guru round out our management team. Global RAIS has now become the rebirth of the technology created by TenK Solar.

Who We Were

In 2008 Ten K Solar was founded using unique solar technologies. These patented modular systems provide an innovative racking, inversion, and energy storage system. These technologies offer some of the following features and benefits listed below:

1. Native Module-Based Direct DC-DC 48V Storage with no inversion

2. Parallel Architecture that is Highly Robust and Resilient

3. Shading and Orientation Agnostic for High-Density Redundant Solar Energy

4. Easy to Install, Low Weight Kit 

5. Grid Independent Design that is Safe and Low Voltage

The marketplace recognized the value of this technology, resulting in over 650 customers and over 3,000 installations worldwide for Ten K Solar. However, the timing was off for Ten K Solar. With significant downward pricing pressure in the market, they chose to turn away from the Commercial and Industrial flat rooftops for which the technology was initially designed. With both internal and external realities, the owners decided to close the doors to their business in mid-2017. 

Support for Previous TenK Solar Customers

We know there have been reported issues of inverter failures at some existing TenK Solar installation sites. We are now ready to help repower those sites with a new version of NEP's 800w microinverter. The fully certified BDM-800TKGR will be available in 208V, 240V, and 277V configurations later this spring.

These NEP microinverters have been developed via direct collaboration and are available exclusively from Global RAIS^®. The units come with a 10-year warranty with an option to extend to a 25-year warranty with the monitoring option installed.
