Pānui | Newsletter - Issue 98 - November 2020
Kia ora!

This Pānui includes the very welcome news of the appointment of New Zealand's first Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence, Marama Davidson. Marama Davidson will build on the work begun by Parliamentary Under Secretary for Justice (Sexual and Domestic Violence Issues) Jan Logie in the last government term. We look forward to working with the Minister to progress the work.

We also feature new books along with new reports and journal articles from Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

Stay safe, stay well.

New books to borrow
New Zealand counsellor and author, Kay Douglas has recently published three new books. These can be borrowed from the Clearinghouse library.

Men making changes is a book for men who want to become the partners and fathers they aspire to be, and that their families long for them to be.

The popular Invisible wounds has been updated and a new self-help guide Invisible wounds workbook: Self reflection for women in abusive relationships is now available.

Kay was interviewed on RNZ's Nine to Noon programme about the importance of her new book for men.

A number of other books about working with men have recently been donated to the NZFVC library. You will find them listed in the New resources section below. MM
