New Module Now Available:

“Detection, Assessment, and Treatment of OCD in Children and Adolescents”

Did you know that:

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) has a lifetime prevalence of approximately 2% and affects people from different backgrounds and cultures all over the world
  • OCD often starts in childhood or adolescence
  • Half of the individuals diagnosed with OCD report symptoms by age 19, and one-quarter report symptoms by age 14


Improving Providers’ Assessment, Care, Delivery and Treatment of OCD (IMPACT-OCD) is pleased to announce a new training module entitled: Detection, Assessment, and Treatment of OCD in Children and Adolescents.

This course will:

  • Describe how obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) presents in children and adolescents,
  • Review the causes of OCD,
  • Identify how to differentiate OCD from other disorders and comorbid conditions, and
  • Review first-line treatments for children and adolescents with OCD and how families or caregivers are involved in treatment.

This course provides 1.5 self-study contact hours of Social Work, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and CASAC/CPP/CPS Continuing Education and is an enduring material available for a maximum of 1.5 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
