Small Business Member of the Month (March) - Rita Bowman, Sabika
What a lucky day! Chamber Ambassadors, staff, and community members, were welcomed into Rita Bowman's office on March 17th to present to her the recognition of Small Business Member of the Month for March 2023. Rita Bowman is an official consultant of Sabika which is a jewelry "company by women for everyone" that "unlocks opportunities, inspires joyful confidence and celebrates the unique beauty in all of us". Rita is the epitome of this! She is a delightful person and lights up any room with her warm personality and beautiful jewelry. She is also a great supporter of the Chamber of Commerce [you'll likely see her at every event], and a wonderful addition to the business community.

Chamber Staff Participate in Community Clean Up
The Chamber of Commerce Staff participated in the The City of Mount Airy, NC's Community Clean Up on Monday, March 20th at Snowhill Drive in Mount Airy.
We passed a few Chamber member locations on our trash clean-up journey, and it felt good to serve the community. We invite you and your business or organization to reach out to the City of Mount Airy and schedule a community clean up day! It's a great way to serve and get out of the office for a few hours.

Chamber Lecture Series #1 Becomes Unexpected Networking Dinner - Thanks to all who attended!
The scheduled Chamber Lecture Series event with Kenny Flowers, Assistant Secretary of Rural Economic Development, came across some unavoidable changes late Monday afternoon just before the event. Instead of the Lecture Series, which will be rescheduled at a later date with Mr. Flowers, the Chamber hosted a Networking Dinner for all ticket holders and additional Chamber members.
Thanks to all who came out to White Sulphur Springs Event Venue on Monday, April 3rd! The dinner was fantastic and the camaraderie and conversation was even better. We were glad to have such a great crowd and so much support from the community.
The postponed Chamber Lecture Series with Kenny Flowers will be rescheduled as soon as possible. If you have questions about this event, please contact a Chamber staff.
