Mindset: The TRANSITION
Transition and Transformation:
In our ongoing endeavor to have FOCUS, we must learn how to transition without losing the ability to serve our functioning purpose with FOCUS that can adapt and transFORM through transitions. This Month we are transitioning into discovering the power and purpose of our FUNCTION- functioning roles, functional fitness, functioning health, functional Life.
In Pilates the transition is always the test. It’s the space between one's ability to maintain stability while executing fluid mobility in the smooth and seamless transfer of connecting to one's grounding strength while trusting in the foreseeable extending length . The parallelism of the mind and body is truly indistinguishable. What happens in the mind first is executed in and through the body and what is felt in the body becomes a guide for the mind. There is no separation, just simple synchronicity.
When we move from the analytical to the intuitive embodiment of mind, body and spirit we fully transform into the magical space of transition which allows the almost effortless flow from one space to the next without losing our connection to self; mind, body and spirit.
Practically speaking in the transition of movement from one leg or arm to another the core serves as a balancing force of stability so that the mobility between each side becomes a dance of grace in the balance of the push and pull, strength and length, grit and grace. And the small and subtle space between is the sacred space of awareness we call…. BREATH.
The harmonic unity of each movement within each inhale and exhale becomes the dynamic transition from movement and mindfulness with the embodiment of mind, body and spirit throughout.
This purity of movement and mindfulness comes with an appreciation for the opportunity to go deeper through the intention of connection between the mind, body and spirit without the need for any or more tension to “feel” the work. The inner space of connection becomes all you need to feel your strongest from the inside out.
The embodiment of mind, body, soul and spirit awareness is not only one’s greatest strength but greatest gifts to give the world. Self awareness and the working, functioning ability to maintain a grounding sense of responsiveness that comes from the connection of the mind, body and sporty allows us to execute the mobility we want from the stability we are in our mind, body and spirit alignment and this is the difference of success in the transitory spaces of life.
This my friend is the transformation of transition.
