The New Jersey Consumer Protection Enhancement Act requires one agency CE credit to be completed by the end of the current CE term (2023-2025). To renew your license, you must complete your CE requirements by April 30, 2025 to avoid a $200 late fee.

The New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC) recently advised NJ Realtors® that licensees who have already taken specific courses containing agency subject matter (formerly approved in the Core CE category) during the current term will have satisfied their Agency CE requirement.

The NJ REC is working with vendor PSI to update all licensee transcripts. While many transcripts still need to be corrected, PSI is working to resolve this (and other issues with their system) in December.

Members who have taken the approved Agency courses in ACE (or with a local board using the ACE system) already have their transcripts updated in ACE. If a member completed a course with an outside provider (or non-ACE local board), the members should contact the host of the class directly to determine if the course qualifies for Agency credit.

Additionally, member/licensees who are looking to take an Agency course have the following options with New Jersey Realtors®:

  • Online Course: "Agency - The Big Picture" | Cost: $10.50 in ACE New Jersey Real Estate: 3 Agency Credits (C20161428). Register here.

  • New Jersey REALTORS is also developing a free, 1-hour Agency online course available to all members in the next several weeks. Watch MJAR communications for more information about this and other Agency courses coming soon.
