We lend storysacks to literacy programs. A storysack is a sack with a book and props to help read the book to children and bring the story alive.  Sacks often contain soft toys that show characters or items from the book.

Ideas for holiday season giving
For a change we thought we would give you ideas for holiday season giving, rather than the usual ideas for finding money.

Canada Helps - You can donate to Canadian charities on this website, including the NWT Literacy Council, and
food banks in Inuvik and Yellowknife.  You can also purchase Canada Helps gift cards for others so they can donate to the charity of their choice

Some organizations offer special gift catalogues for Christmas, such as the YWCA Yellowknife or international aid groups like Unicef Canada

Make your holiday season meaningful for yourself and others!
