Naming What We Have Become

We have changed our name from St. James School to Community of St. James. The name change embraces the fact that we have become much more than a middle school with the addition of Graduate Support in 2013, renewal of the Church of St. James the Less in 2016, and formation of The Welcome Table in 2020.

Please join us in congratulating Kevine Dupree (Class of 2016), recipient of the third annual St. James Graduate Award! Kevine represents the very best of the St. James mission: leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to community. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and the many ways Kevine continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. 

Recognizing Dave Kasievich, Ed.D.’s Leadership

After serving for several years as both President and Head of School, Dave Kasievich, Ed.D. will now serve full-time as President of the Community of St. James. In this role, Dave will continue advancing the mission and vision of St. James, focusing on long-term growth, partnerships, and the continued flourishing of our school, graduate support, church, and Welcome Table mission pillars.

Announcing Norman Bayard as the Next Head of School

We are thrilled to announce that Norman Bayard will join the Community of St. James this summer as our next Head of School! Norman currently serves as Upper School Dean of Students at Friends Select School in Philadelphia and brings deep experience in student leadership, community-building, and educational excellence. We look forward to introducing you more fully to Norman in the June edition of The Word!
