Description: Western countries are recognizing the holiday of Baisakhi which is celebrated by Sikhs, and other Asian spring festivals including Chinese New Year, Holi, etc. We will discuss the cultural traditions, dances, and food to celebrate Easter, Passover, Baisakhi and Chinese and other spring festivals.

OLLI Instructor Biography

Kulvinder Singh has been a resident of Placer County for over 20 years, and a lawyer in practice over 27 years, website: www.singhlawoffice.com 

He is the chairman of Sikhs of Placer County, a community service nonprofit organization, website: www.placersikhs.org

Sikhs and others celebrate holidays including the Western ones we are all familiar with and as our community is multicultural, Mr. Singh will highlight the various events and include Eastern celebrations and invite discussion in this course.
