New Ontario Environment Plan Released

The provincial government has released a new Ontario Environment Plan to protect our air, land and water and reduce litter and waste while lowering greenhouse gas emissions and helping communities protect themselves from climate change.

The plan calls for, among other things, updating the Building Code to equip homes and buildings to withstand extreme weather events, and reviewing the Code to support adoption of cost effective energy efficiency measures.
