New Office Space in Cambodia

With such a large staff coming and going on their motorcycles, and a number of mobile library Tuk-tuks to park we are happy to have found a bigger building to rent for our new offices. We are so grateful that our long term generous supporter Starr Moore understands the importance of a positive work environment. She has donated funds so we were able to expand to a double story building with more offices and a meeting room with plentiful ground space, too. The team worked hard to make a smooth and organized transition. Still to be completed is the outdoor landscaping and some wonderful local arts and crafts for the walls. A beautiful environment is beneficial for a productive and healthy workplace.

WASH School Toilets

A huge thank you to Rotary Club Sentosa of Singapore who continue with their remarkable quest of improving health and hygiene by providing funding for toilet blocks at rural schools in Siem Reap area. Because of their tireless work we have been able to build 42 toilet blocks to date. They have partnered with Rotary International for matching global grants. Out of 35,000 grant applications only 1,000 grants get awarded annually. So far RC Sentosa has secured 11 grants for toilet blocks and are in the process of submitting more grants.

Creative Library Stories

Since February, we have been encouraging our students to create and illustrate their own stories during library visits. Written both in English and Khmer and beautifully illustrated, we are so proud of our creative students. Here are a few of the examples.
