The Heart of the Caregiver TM

Master Classes

by Mary Tutterow

Caring for your spouse, child or aging parent is a beautiful thing. Yet caring for others, even people we love, can be one of life’s most confusing and draining experiences. Why?

Caring for our daughter with special needs for the last 32 years (as well as my mother-in-law through cancer and dementia) has opened my eyes and my heart to many of the reasons why caring brought out the worst in me. So many nights, out of shear frustration and heartache I would cry out, “Why is this so hard? There has GOT to be a better way.” Over the years I’ve learned that there is, indeed, a better way – to see, to care, to love.

In The Heart of the Caregiver™, I share The Five Steps to Transformation – simple truths and steps that have calmed my heart and enabled me to love and serve daily from a place of peace.

I invite you to join me in an online Master Class. I will personally be leading small groups of caregivers through The Heart of the Caregiver, chapter by chapter. Choose your small group and we will meet for an hour each week for 10 weeks online for far less than the price of just one coaching session with me. You will be able to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions and fellowship with people who understand the difficult emotions and responsibilities of caregiving.

The sessions will NOT be recorded, but as part of this Master Class, you will have access to teaching videos I’ve created just for you, to be able to stay on track with the Master Class, even if you miss a session.

Your group has changed my life. This has been a hard year for me. In the group, I heard words of hope and coping methods from caregivers in the most difficult of circumstances; Biblical words of reassurance and strength from God. These folks know what I've gone through: the emotional pain, hard physical duties; the emotional and physical toll.

Now, I am actually happy. I'm not fighting it like I used to. I couldn't fight ALS or Alzheimer's or the cancer that wracked my sister's body. I tried. I fought for all 3 of them but this time it didn't work and I became tired and depressed.

So I flipped it. Instead of sadness and unhappiness, I turned it over to God and let the Holy Spirit truly guide me and give me the strength and joy I needed. Then I could in turn give it to my loved ones. What a difference it has made!

Thank you!

What your group did for me and my family was beyond words. It literally felt like a scale was removed from my eyes. It was like the Holy Spirit was just showing me our boys for the 1st In a new light and it was beautiful! I had my husband sit down and watch it with me again and his reaction was a confirmation of what I experienced. I could see the same filter being removed from his eyes. He cried just like me! The realness of your lives is a gift from God to many of us.

Thank you! From the bottom of our hearts...thank you!!! Having 2 boys with special needs makes us a bit bitter and we lose focus of what the Lord is really trying to show us. The blessing in the brokenness. That wrecked us!

Thank you
