Two Public Art Opportunities:

Newark Liberty Airport Station Access Project

Deadline: September 28, 2025

Applying artists must be New Jersey residents living in and/or based out of Newark, New Jersey. (Artists from the local community of Newark’s South Ward are highly encouraged to submit artwork.) The selected artists will be responsible for working with the Port Authority of NY & NJ team on managing the project.

2025 New Jersey Creative Communities Conference: The Art of Community Well-being

Conference Scholarships Available for Public and Social Practice Artists

Hosted by the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation, the 2025 NJ Creative Communities Conference - scheduled for November 6, 2025 - is a gathering of leaders, doers, thinkers, and artists throughout New Jersey exploring innovative ways to make places better for everyone through art and creative placemaking.

Through the support of generous donors, NNJCF is offering a small number of

$25 scholarships to artists already producing public art, or who are interested in learning how to transition from their individual practice into the public/social practice art field.

Scholarships will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in attending the conference and receiving a $25 scholarship to offset the $50 artist discounted ticket cost, please email your intent and a link to a website or social media page that demonstrates your work to artsbergen@nnjcf.org.

The Conference offers a forum for artists to learn how to engage communities or meet potential clients and partners for public artworks. Artists of all disciplines - writers, painters, architects, designers and more - can receive scholarships and the discount.

The Business of Being an Artist, offered by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, is a series of virtual workshops that is free and open to any artist, teaching artist, or folk artist who lives and/or works in the state of New Jersey.
