New Orleans–born indie-rock artist Crash Richard today releases his highly anticipated full-length album, Sensitive Devil. The project, with its blend of indie rock, folk, and introspective lyrics, captures what happens when a double Gemini turns both a designer’s eye and a street performer’s heart inward—pulling songs from the hollows of the American experience, the complexities of family, and the emotional tension of staying human in a rapidly fraying world.

All four previously released tracks set the tone for the LP, leaving listeners room to discover the album’s larger emotional narrative. The title track, “Sensitive Devil,” serves not only as a persona but as an intimate reflection of Crash’s personal history. “Fool Moon (Cruised)” transforms longing into cosmic defiance, while “Swan AAA +1” examines the constant human hunger for connection and yearning. “On the Run (Looking Out)” honors the quiet courage of remaining tender in a world that often demands armor.

Across the record, a central question reverberates: How do you keep feeling in a world built to numb?

Recorded slowly, intentionally, and without commercial pressure, Sensitive Devil isn’t following any trends; it’s carving its own unique and captivating lane. “I just want to keep chipping away,” Crash says. “I’ve seen how unpredictable and beautiful it can all be.”

Lyrically, the album drifts between confession and critique—a style Crash jokingly calls “rhythm and griping.” His delivery doesn’t simply emote; it reveals. His phrasing is meticulous yet cracked in all the right places, layered with coded warmth and lived-in vulnerability.

The album was a labor of love, created alongside Kosta Galanopoulos in a modest home studio in Eagle Rock, a hillside neighborhood on LA’s east side. With a small group of trusted collaborators, Crash recorded vocals at odd hours, tested mixes against bedroom walls, and embraced imperfection as a guiding principle. The result is a record that hums with intimacy, grit, and the shared persistence of everyone involved.

About Crash Richard:

Born and raised in New Orleans, Crash Richard's journey to Los Angeles after Hurricane Katrina with nothing but a week’s worth of laundry and a series of small gigs is a testament to his resilience. In LA, he worked as a set builder, performed bit acting roles—including a memorable stint as a teenage Santa Claus in a national campaign—and ultimately joined Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros full-time.

His debut solo album, Hardly Criminal, led to a performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, where he delivered a standout rendition of his breakout track “Motion Animal.”
