Save the Date for Upcoming PCSS Exchange Series!
What is the PCSS-X? It's a six-session course, live via Zoom webinar, focused on implementing prescribing medications for treating opioid use disorder in a variety of healthcare settings. You don't have to attend all six to participate and can join at any time. Sessions are not recorded.

PCSS-X is intended for an interprofessional audience. Prescribers with frontline experience prescribing medications for opioid use disorder and developing clinic workflows will be available during each session to answer participants’ questions and discuss real-world cases.

The next PCSS Exchange (PCSS-X) series of live webinars is scheduled to begin Thursday, April 8, at 3 p.m. and continue every other week for six sessions. Registration coming soon.

Dates for the sessions are: April 8; April 22; May 6; May 20; June 3; and June 17, all Thursdays at 3 pm.

Following the series that starts in April, will be another six-session series that starts Wednesday, June 30, and will run every other Wednesday at 4 pm.
Racial Inequities in Substance Use Webinar
Now Available On-Demand
The American Psychiatric Association's webinar on racial inequities in the treatment of substance use disorders is now available on-demand. The webinar drew one of the highest attendance of a PCSS webinar to date, with more than 1,000 participants.

In case you missed it, here is the webinar description:
Untreated substance use disorders contribute to thousands of deaths each year. Although there are treatments available, many communities have not accessed them. The reasons for this are multifactorial including stigma, mistrust, discrimination, racism and criminalization of substance use. This activity will highlight the inequities in substance use treatment including federal and state policies that have influenced the criminalization of substance use. The webinar will include strategies for assessing, diagnosing, and treating substance use disorders in racial and ethnic minorities.
