The PTAC is a business and technology extension program of the UNC System. Our purpose is to generate employment and improve the general economic condition of the state by assisting North Carolina companies, including those eligible for business development programs for local, state and federal government contracts. We provide procurement technical assistance by offering no-fee and confidential counseling on selling your products and/or services to the appropriate local, state or federal government agency.

Director's Corner: 
New PTAC Advisor in the TRIAD

Sue Crotts has been hired as the new PTAC advisor for the TRIAD region that includes North Carolina A & T State University, Winston-Salem State University and UNC -Greensboro. As a PTAC advisor she is responsible for Caswell, Davison, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties. Her focus is on advising established businesses on how to navigate the purchasing processes to win local, state and federal government contracts. The North Carolina PTAC Program is co-located with the Small Business and Technology Development Center ( www.sbtdc.org ).
 
Sue brings thirteen years of government procurement experience from the City of Greensboro and Guilford County to the North Carolina PTAC Program. Experience includes managing procurements for federal, state and local bids, RFPs and contracts and supporting subcontracting requirements to include set aside programs. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from UNC-Greensboro and is a Certified Local Government Purchasing Officer (CLGPO), designated by UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Government.
