Arts Ed NJ is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for Emerging Teaching Artists in New Jersey!
The upcoming pilot program will run from February 2025 to April 2025. If you are an emerging Teaching Artist residing in New Jersey, this is your chance to engage in a transformative experience designed to support reflective practice and build skills to foster student-centered learning in the arts.
What’s Included?
- $750 stipend
- Free Course Tuition valued at $450: Gain access to Arts Ed NJ’s On-Demand course, Empowering Artists: Designing Student-Centered Learning Driven by the 2020 NJSLS-VPA.

Three Guided Conversations: Engage in meaningful discussions with fellow artists and educators, sharing insights and experiences that enrich your practice.
- Culminating Event: Showcase your learning and connect with a broader community of arts educators.
Why Participate?
This pilot program is designed specifically for Emerging NJ Teaching Artists—those with 2-4 years of experience and 1-4 years of formal professional development. You will explore how to empower students through arts education by making direct connections to the Visual and Performing Arts Learning Standards.
Cohort Diversity:
We are committed to creating a balanced cohort of up to 15 Emerging NJ Teaching Artists, representing a variety of arts disciplines, geographic areas, and demographic backgrounds. Your unique perspective is invaluable!
