In a recent review of CRGC cases with a histology of papillary carcinoma, histology coding discrepancies were identified based on specific primary sites.  As a result, CRGC developed a Papillary Carcinoma Coding Guideline to assist registrars in applying the correct histology code for bladder, thyroid and breast cancer cases.  These guidelines are based on the SEER Multiple Primary and Histology (MPH) Rules and SEER SINQ citations.  We hope the guideline is a useful and helpful tool in coding histology for these primary sites.
