Agudath Israel is proud to announce the Boro Park and Flatbush Parent Navigator Program. This exciting new program will benefit parents and students in Flatbush by providing invaluable guidance and support to parents navigating the complex world of special education in New York City.
This program, one of several neighborhood parent Navigator programs funded by the New York City Department of Education, operates under the auspices of Agudath Israel of America and is managed by FACTS Education Solutions. Mrs. Toba Lichtenstein, Agudath Israel of America's dedicated navigator, is available to offer guidance and support to parents navigating the special education system.
We understand that navigating the special education system can be a daunting and often overwhelming process. That's why we are committed to offering a wide range of services to aid parents and students on this journey. Services include:
- Consultation: One-on-one guidance and support tailored to your child's unique needs.
- Liaising with Schools: We will work closely with schools to ensure your child receives the necessary support and accommodations.
- Help Accessing Services: Assistance in connecting your child with essential services and resources.
- Webinars and Workshops: Educational sessions to empower parents with knowledge and tools
- Navigating Paperwork: Streamlining the paperwork process to reduce stress.
- IEP Meeting Assistance: Expert support during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Child Find Resources: Assistance in identifying and accessing resources to support your child's development.
