CWA AND SCI TEAM UP FOR A VETERAN'S PHEASANT HUNT

A total of 15 active duty and honorably discharged brave men and women participated in the hunt at no cost to them! CWA President John Carlson, Jr. attended and helped conduct the hunts in the field.

Construction Start for CWA & CDFW
CWA and Department of Fish and Wildlife has started construction on the W11A&C Unit that will see the removal of salt cedar and reconstruction of the levees and installation of all new water control structures. These hunting units will increase in size and see improved feed production because of our efforts. We have also received our first load of new pipeline that will allow for efficient delivery of water for management of the Y15 wetlands units that were constructed last year. Look for good feed production within Y15 this fall as a result of the pipeline upgrade.
SUMMER CAMPS ARE BACK!
Looking for the perfect summer camp this year that offers hunter education, outdoor activities and more for your 10-17 year old? We have it! Four camps are planned for Grizzly Ranch and one special camp in November at Bird Haven Ranch that includes a waterfowl hunt! Ok, that's NOT a summer camp but it's so popular every year we want to get the word out as soon as possible.

The waterfowl populations and waterfowl hunting we have in California have been built by great men and women who work in biology, conservation, lawmaking and art. The California Fish and Game Commission recognizes a few of these leaders each year in the California Waterfowler’s Hall of Fame. These are the people the commission honored in 2022.
