Host Dr. Debora Broderick, a long-time educator and teacher-researcher, highlights topics and themes discovered from the Project for Mental Health and Optimal Development at Penn GSE. Over five episodes, she convenes pairings including parents, a teacher and student, and community partners who have found creative ways to cope — and, for some, thrive — throughout the pandemic.

"The pandemic has required educators and practitioners to deeply reconsider the purpose of school in a shifting world. What role can and should our institutions play in our society?
One lesson that comes up again and again in my conversations with guests on the podcast is that our schools and community organizations are central to how we live and thrive, and that these institutions have an important role to play in supporting students' mental health and wellbeing."
