Tom Wain Appointed Police Director
For the first time in almost a decade, Montgomery Township has appointed a new Police Director. Captain Thomas L. Wain, a 22-year veteran of the Montgomery Township Police Department, was sworn in at the December 15th Township Committee meeting. Long time MTPD Police Officer Kurt Rock was also promoted to Lieutenant.

Police Captain/Dir. Thomas Wain is sworn-in by Twp. Attorney Kristina Hadinger while his wife and children look on with pride.

Mayor Patricia Graham commented, "We congratulate and express our unwavering confidence in our new Police leadership. They have the experience and expertise it takes to deliver the stellar public safety services our community has come to expect."
"There is nothing more important than our police department.  This is culmination of four years of hard work and planning as we transitioned to a new generation of leaders.  Police Director Tom Wain is the right person to lead our department and continue to strengthen our visibility and relationship with our residents.  We are proud of the quality of our police and we will support them in any way possible," said Deputy Mayor Ed Trzaska.
Lt. Kurt Rock will serve as Operations Commander, taking on Captain Wain's previous role.  Lt. Rock has also been with the department for twenty-two years.  Lt. James Gill continues in command of the Administrative Division and Lt. Thomas Frascella leads the Services Division.

Newly promoted Police Lieutenant Kurt Rock (4th from left) is congratulated by members of the Montgomery Twp. Committee (l to r) Mark Conforti, Christine Madrid, Mayor Pat Graham, and Deputy Mayor Ed Trzaska. Not pictured-Committeeman Rich Smith.
After 37 years of service to Montgomery, with the last eight years as Police Director, Captain Robert Palmer retired in November, leaving behind a well-trained and equipped police force meeting the highest standards of law enforcement ethics and quality of service.
