New Popeyes Coming to Laguna Niguel

A new Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will replace the former Carl’s Jr. at 28722 Camino Capistrano, under a plan submitted to the City.

The request by Popeyes and the property owner would make way for a comprehensive exterior remodel of the vacant pad building located at 28722 Camino Capistrano. The remodel would generally include the renovation of the building’s roof and new contemporary building elevations. New site landscaping is also proposed.

Popeyes is a multinational chain of fried chicken fast-food restaurants that was formed during 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

New Starbucks, Other Tenants for Old Coco's Restaurant Site

The former Coco’s restaurant site that has been vacant in the Marketplace at Laguna Niguel will be remodeled into a new drive-through Starbucks with two additional tenant suites.

The City's Planning Commission issued a site development permit and use permit in June 2022 for the new business at 27360 Alicia Parkway.
