New Powder-Coated Finishes for Accessories

As closet design continues to evolve, many closet hardware manufacturers are expanding their product offerings with more powder-coated finishes across closet rods, valet rods, hooks, and storage accessories. This transition gives clients a more refined and cohesive appearance throughout the entire closet system while also improving long-term durability and wear resistance.

Traditionally, many closet rods and accessories were offered primarily in chrome or polished metallic finishes. Newer collections now feature a broader range of matte and powder-coated finishes such as black, matte nickel, matte gold, white, and dark oil-rubbed bronze. These finishes create a softer, more furniture-like appearance compared to the brighter reflective metals commonly used in older closet systems.

Clients can expect several visual differences with these updated finishes:



• A more matte, low-sheen appearance rather than highly reflective chrome
• Better coordination with modern cabinet colors and hardware trends
• Improved consistency between rods, hooks, valet accessories, and organizational components
• Reduced visibility of fingerprints and small surface scratches over time.

Beyond aesthetics, powder-coated finishes also provide a protective coating which helps improve resistance to everyday wear in high-use areas, where durability and finish are important.
