Last week, ResCare promoted Mark Douglass to President of its workforce services division. He succeeds Adam Taylor who is pursuing other career opportunities outside of the company.
Douglass joined ResCare Workforce Services in 2014 as a regional director. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to vice president of operations, followed by another promotion to senior vice president of operations.
Jon Rousseau, CEO of ResCare Inc. (the parent company to ResCare Workforce Services) said, "I'm happy to announce that we have chosen an experienced leader who has more than 17 years of experience in new business development, change management, strategic planning and financial controls to lead our new era of workforce services."
Douglass has an extensive workforce services background. Prior to joining ResCare, he was the chief operating officer of Career Source Pinellas and Career Source Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida, where he was responsible for strategic planning and implementation, program development and board and government affairs.
Prior to that, Douglass served as president of Dynamic Educational Systems in Phoenix, Arizona.
"With Mark at the helm, I'm confident ResCare Workforce Services and the stellar team he inherited will build upon the high-energy culture and industry-leading work that the industry has come to know," said Rousseau.

More than a dozen students from Puerto Rico have been welcomed to the ResCare-operated
Edison Job Corps center in New Jersey in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which created enough damage to warrant closing the ResCare-operated Job Corps centers on the island late last year.
The transfer from the
Barranquitas and
Arecibo Job Corps sister centers to the center in Edison is part of a "Spirit of Giving Initiative" to help students continue the professional and personal development they began in Puerto Rico before the hurricane disrupted their progress.
During a special luncheon to welcome the most recent student arrivals from Puerto Rico, Edison Job Corps Center Director, Brenda Jenifer, assured them that her staff is committed to giving them a long-term alternative location to reside and an opportunity to continue their education while the recovery and rebuilding process of their home land continues.
