Andrew is a highly respected leader within the tennis and private club industry. In his 18-plus years in the business, Andrew has effectively collaborated with private club boards, committees, members and staff to implement award-winning and innovative racquet programs and tournaments at some of the world’s most historic and iconic clubs.  Most recently, Andrew served as Director of Tennis at the Seattle Tennis Club. Past roles include Director of Tennis Operations at the Riviera Tennis Club and Associate Director of Tennis at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Notable association involvement includes membership on numerous United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) boards and committees, including its National Executive Committee. Andrew also served as Tournament Director of the Washington State Open’s USTA National 60s Indoors Championship; host of the ITA Women’s and Men’s National Indoors and Women’s All-American Tennis Championships; and host of the Atlanta Tennis Championship’s ATP 250 event. As a Principal with GSI Executive Search based in Rancho Mirage, California, Andrew works in concert with Senior Principal Scott McNett, a decades-long tennis industry and executive search veteran, to orchestrate nationwide strategic placements between racquet sports professionals and associations, elite private clubs, semi-private clubs and resorts. Andrew also consults on short-term and long-range planning, management in transition, capital and operational budget management, tournament and charity event management and staff trainings.

General Manager Minocqua Country Club Minocqua, Wisconsin

The Club Minocqua Country Club offers the finest golf and social experience in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Open from May through October, the club is located in the “Lakeland area” consisting of Minocqua, Hazelhurst, Lake Tomahawk, Woodruff, Boulder Junction, Arbor Vitae and the surrounding area. Originally founded in 1910, the club is open from approximately May through October every year. Amenities include a highly regarded championship golf course, tennis courts and a full-service clubhouse. While the clubhouse today still resembles the original design, it has undergone numerous renovations and updates adding to its Northwoods charm. Improvements include the bar area, an outdoor deck and a dining room overlooking Lake Minocqua.  The Opportunity The General Manager is in charge of club operations and must be a very visible and accessible leader to both the members and staff alike. He/she will guide the club under the direction of the Board of Directors and act as the leader, mentor and liaison between department heads and committees. He or she will also be responsible and held accountable for the club including golf, clubhouse, member services and business functions. The club seeks an experienced, strong, well-rounded club leader with particular experience in membership marketing, food and beverage management and service, and club finance and budget management. This is an excellent opportunity for a club management professional willing to focus on an exceptional level of professional service, attention and recognition to the club’s loyal membership while providing leadership and guidance to its staff in order to achieve those goals. Success factors will be focused on membership marketing and retention, member service and experience, and staff leadership. Requirements The General Manager will be the consummate professional and be well-versed in all facets of club administration. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Clubhouse Manager in a traditional, comparable upper-end private club setting with well-traveled and discerning members. Candidates will have a working knowledge of all facets of private club operations with a strong emphasis on food and beverage, membership marketing, financial management, strategic planning and staff mentoring.
