CT REALTORS Handling Statewide Professional Standards Administration
NHMR has signed on with the new CT REALTORS (CTR) Statewide Professional Standards program. You can learn more about timely options for resolving disputes, or how to file an ethics or arbitration complaint by going to http://ctrealtors.com/complaints.
There is also a Statewide Citation Policy where Respondents have the option to pay a fine and go to education in lieu of a hearing for certain ethics violations.
The names of the current NHMR Professional Standards and Grievance Committee Members have been submitted to CTR for use in future meetings/hearings.

Revised Detector Affidavit Effective October 1, 2022
A revised Affidavit Concerning Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors became effective October 1, 2022. REALTORS® should strongly encourage seller clients to be sure to review that closing document with their real estate attorney.

Dept. Public Health Required Wells Educational Material
Effective October 1, 2022, owners of properties must provide notice of an educational document created by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) to the prospective buyer or tenant "prior to the sale, exchange, purchase transfer or rental of real property on which a private or semipublic well is located." When represented by a real estate licensee, a prospective buyer or tenant shall be provided that DPH document by such licensee. DPH has not yet finalized the required educational document. CTR will provide that to you as soon as it is available.

2023 Dues Bills Posted, Payment Plan Available
NHMR has generated the invoices for 2023 Association Dues and Members now have a new balance in their NHMR Member portal account. All Members have received an email notification that their 2023 Dues Invoice is available. (Dues bills will NOT be mailed).
Payment will be due by January 31, 2023. NHMR has a payment plan available. Members must enroll in the payment plan by November 9th,
All Members who pay their bill on time will also receive a credit for a free CE class through NHMR in 2023.

Hybrid CE Classes - Choose In-Person or Virtual
Upcoming CE classes are now being offered in a hybrid format. When registering for classes, agents will select whether they will attend Virtually or in-person. The location for In-person classes is the NHMR office, 2730 Boston Post Rd. Guilford.
*Please note: If an in-person class does not meet the minimum number of attendees, it will be converted to an all-virtual class.
