On February 6, 2023, ISU will go live with the implementation of Jaggaer, a new procurement system that will replace our current Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Contract Management systems and processes.
Why
The Idaho State Board of Education directed ISU, along with Boise State, University of Idaho, and Lewis-Clark State College to implement a common procurement system that integrates directly to our ERP system (Banner). Jaggaer implementation was funded by an appropriation from the Governor and has been developed collaboratively across all institutions.
Benefits and Efficiencies
- User-friendly procurement experience with online catalogs from key suppliers
- Lower pricing for materials and supplies through strategically negotiated contracts for all four institutions
- Electronic invoicing for completed automatically in Jaggaer, eliminating the need for additional reconciliation and posting
- Required approvals sent via email and automatically routed in Jaggaer Workflow for efficient review and tracking
-
Workflow for General Council professional services contract review, routing, and processing
Training and Resources
In recognition of the challenges presented in converting to a new system, we have been testing Jaggaer with several units and departments over the past few months. Our team has created a series of resources for faculty and staff to include in-person training, videos, and online guides.
Over the next few weeks, you will receive emails outlining training options available based upon your Jaggaer role. Please take time to review and follow the instructions provided. Our team is also available to attend department/staff meetings to provide more information and answer unit-specific questions and concerns.
If you would like to schedule a training or have questions about this new system please contact our team at 282-2511.
More information and training resources for Jaggaer can be found at https://sites.google.com/isu.edu/jaggaerresources/home.
Best Regards,
Jen
