The DIO64-ARD is up to the task. Eight 8-Bit ports provide 64 digital I/O channels. All channels can be individually configured as either an input or output. Programmable Pull-Up resistors on inputs channels simplifies connecting to “open-collector” sensors, switches, and contact-closures . Uses standard Arduino I²C Wire commands to control its operation. Also supports freely available libraries like those from Adafruit and SparkFun.
