A Note from the CEO: What’s in store for 2024

It’s hard to believe December is already here. At The REACH Institute, we are taking stock of our work and our impact and I'm proud of where we are today.

I encourage you to read our 2022 Annual Report on our website.

Our 2023 report promises even bigger accomplishments. This year, we have trained hundreds of pediatric primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to help thousands of children suffering from common mental health disorders and received a national award for our work.

We look forward to training even more providers in the new year and have released our 2024 training calendar.

We wish you and your families a happy holiday season!

Awaiting an Autism Diagnosis:

Resources for Parents and Providers

A formal autism diagnosis gives families and children access to critical resources otherwise not available. But diagnosis wait times today range from six months to two years. This leaves painful gaps in care, which can impede children’s development and strain families.

We asked Dr. Mark Wolraich, MD, a REACH faculty member and retired professor of pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, what providers and parents can do while awaiting an autism diagnosis.

Read about the resources available before a formal diagnosis, organizations that can help, and how to build a supportive community.
