CHANGE #2
The New System Does Not Automatically Carry Forward CEUs
The CHC policy that allows excess CEUs to carry forward to the following year is unique when compared to other organizations in the certification industry. For this reason, the new certification management system cannot be designed to automatically support this process.
However, the CHC believes that a CEU carry-forward practice supports CCH practitioners in the still-emerging homeopathy profession. Therefore, the CEU carry-forward
process
is changing, but the carry-forward
policy
remains the same -- up to 15 CEUs are allowed to carry forward to the next year.
The MyCHC system now requires CCHs to manually enter carry-forward CEUs each year.
During
the CEU step
, only 15 CEUs
(at least 10 Category I and up to 5 Category II) will be accepted. CEU documents uploaded for the current year that include extra/carry-forward CEUs will remain in the MyCHC Digital Wallet for use during the following recertification.
For the transition year in 2020 only, information about CEUs carried forward from last year as recorded in the old system will be provided to CCHs in a separate email. For this transition year only, enter CEU carry-forwards from last year as follows:
- Category II Carry-Forward CEUs - Select CEU Carry-Forward Cat II from the list of CEU Activities. Follow instructions for Category I Carry Forward CEUs as detailed above.
Going forward, after the 2020 transition year, CCHs
must track and record carry-forward CEUs manually.
