Greetings!
I eagerly await the release each year of what is arguably the greatest value for a fine wine on the market,
Manzanilla La Gitana "En Rama".
The 2020 bottling has just been completed and will be shipped later this month. I will be taking a few cases for my personal consumption and urge you to do the same.
This En Rama is sherry at its very best – lightly filtered, natural, un-fined, pure free run juice directly from the barrel. La Gitana En Rama has a wonderful salty character influenced by the close proximity of the cellars in Sanlúcar de Barrameda to the sea (only 300m away) as well as the altitude of the Balbaina vineyard (110m).
Matured using the traditional “Criaderas y Solera” process in American oak casks, under a layer of “flor” integrated by the yeasts, the wine is intensely gold with green tints. Complex, spicy and delicate aroma, on the palate, this wine is elegant, light and fresh underscored by a salty tanginess. A touch of citrus bitterness gives this wine a fresh finish.
Prices include VAT per case of 6 x 75cl bottles and are being offered subject to availability. The stock is being shipped from Hidalgo's cellars in
Sanlúcar de Barrameda
at the end of April and should be available for deliveries by the middle of May. However, delays are possible at the moment and we will update you accordingly.
Please let me know if you would like to place an order.
Best regards
Karl
