The Emergency Rescue Mortgage Assistance (ERMA) program officially ends on September 30, 2026. Accordingly, the ERMA application portal will be closing in several weeks. Ahead of program close, NJHMFA would like to provide affordable homeowners with a final opportunity to apply for the hardship assistance. Eligibility is limited to homeowners who suffered COVID-related financial hardships which have caused them to fall behind on mortgage payments, HOA fees, taxes, or certain other housing-related expenses. This eligibility includes owners of restricted ownership units.
