Narcan Trainings Available
According to data from the state Department of Public Health, there have already been 547 confirmed overdose deaths in Connecticut in the first six months of the year, with an additional 383 cases pending confirmation. This is a significant increase from last year. Xylazine, an animal tranquilizer not intended for use in humans, mixed with fentanyl is also on the rise. In 2020, 141 people died from the combination of Xylazine and Fentanyl. Even though Fairfield County had the lowest rates of drug overdoses we still need to be cautious and provide as much support to our community residents at large. Read full article.

Truth Initiative Released Their Annual Report
NEW: Park City Career Pathways - a RYASAP Program
RYASAP (Regional Youth Adult Social Action Partnership) has been selected to lead an MDRC initiative which seeks to connect recent high school graduates and non-graduates in Bridgeport to career pathways and post-secondary education. The initiative, Park City Career Pathways, will focus on at least 400 Bridgeport “recession graduates” and non-graduates from the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years who are not actively engaged in a post-secondary education or a career pathway.
