Intersection / Facility Focus

This month's intersection focus features the five point intersection of Canyon/Sherwood/Magnolia. Have you experienced conflict or confusion at this intersection? We invite you to take the following survey as we work to improve the overall safety of our streets and improve overall bicycle infrastructure connectivity. Your voice matters!
In our September issue, we conducted the same survey and posed the same questions for the Elizabeth Street and Taft Hill intersection. Thank you to those who responded. READ RESULTS SUMMARY

In our August issue, we conducted the same survey and posed the same questions for the Drake Road and Overland Trail. Thank you to those who responded. READ RESULTS SUMMARY

All results and feedback will be captured and shared accordingly with the city and the Fort Collins Bicycle Advisory Committee.
"Virtual" Tour de Fat

As the 2020 Virtual Tour de Fat draws to a close, we would like to thank everyone who road as slow as they could, got creative with what oddities hide in their closet, or dropped the beat for a chance to win a New Belgium Cruiser Bike. Tour de Fat continues to support the culture of bike love in Fort Collins through their ongoing philanthropy and we are so grateful to everyone who purchased a swag kit, license plate or general donation.

The party might be over, but the real work continues. We ask all of you to carry the spirit of Tour de Fat throughout the year and hold faith that our traditional festivities will return.
There is still one last chance to get your commemorative TDF 2020 Virtual Party bike license plate! You can pick up yours for $5 (cash) over at All Sales Vinyl located at 120 S. College Ave. Many thanks to All Sales Vinyl for their gracious support! All proceeds go to support Bike Fort Collins, Overland Mountain Bike Association, Send Town Bike Club, and (platinum BFB) Fort Collins Bicycle Co-op. Get yours today!
Daylight Savings Time Ends Soon - Be Prepared

Daylight Savings Time ends at 2am, Sunday November 1st and now is the time to make a few simple safety preparations before you get caught in the dark:

1) Check your lights! Make sure your front and rear lights are charged (or have new batteries) and are in working order. Need lights?! Check out our list of local bike shops and they can set you up!

2) Wear reflective clothing and put reflective tape on your gloves for improved visibility when make turn signals.

3) Look twice and don't assume a car can see you. Give yourself a little extra time to get places and take extra care when riding in traffic. We are all adjusting to the shift in daylight, bikes and cars alike.

Ride safe and ride smart, Bike Fort Collins cares.
