Safety 1 Class Seeks Public Safety Speakers

Ms. Skeete is looking for SWA community partners to come in and speak to her Public Safety 1 class this semester!

Speakers can come from any one (or more) of the five fields below, and can have either direct experience or support experience. Speakers would be asked to prepare a 15-30 minute talk for students, and have a short Q&A session afterwards, during which students will "interview" them for further information.

Speakers are free to leave once their Q&A session is over (set by them).

The five career fields the students in Public Safety will be learning about include:

- Law Enforcement (any role/supporting role)

- Fire Fighter/EMS (any role/supporting role)

- Corrections System (any role/supporting role)

- Legal Services (any role/supporting role)

- Security & Protection Services (any role/supporting role)

If you are interested in speaking to our class, please view the SignUp Genius for dates and times! Thank you!

SWA is thrilled to announce the launch of our monthly TAKING FLIGHT Snack Carts, a fun and meaningful way to celebrate our teachers and staff!

Each month, student volunteers will decorate a themed snack cart and help deliver snacks to teachers and staff. Snacks will be donated by families through this SignUpGenius link.

Participation in this program counts toward both parent and student volunteer hours. In addition, each $12.50 spent toward snack donations will count as one hour of parent volunteer time.

Thank you for your support in making this special project a success for our entire school community!
