This past spring, Jim Faulk who has served FCA for over 30 years in San Antonio asked if would be the next FCA director for San Antonio. I accepted the position and my family moved to Texas in August. Over the last eight years, I have served as the FCA Campus Director at the University of Mississippi and have seen God grow our staff team to five. My decision to come to San Antonio is to grow the ministry here and see what God can do through the platform of sports to reach a city for Christ.
Over the last three months I've had a chance to observe the incredible work God has done through Jim Faulk and Bobby Kohler. I have also had a chance to review our giving history and want to say thank you for your financial gifts to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. They have enabled these men to do what they do. I am excited to share a few highlights of what God has done this year and wait expectantly to see what God will do in the year ahead. Some of the highlights from the year include:
- 231 high school and college athletes participated in FCA camps
- 162 FCA campus huddles in the Greater San Antonio area
- 49 Coaches and Athletic Director Bible Studies
- 13 FCA Coaches In-Service Programs with over 2,400 attendees
- 24th Annual Valero Alamo Bowl FCA Breakfast
Thank you for your passion and desire to see San Antonio and the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. Your support is fundamental to our ministry and greatly appreciated. May God be with you and bless you this Christmas and New Year. We look forward to what God has in store for 2018!
