Introduction to Academic Libraries
This 30-minute workshop will introduce you to academic libraries. Academic libraries have unique vocabulary, organization, and collections. The librarians will define library-specific vocabulary, share collection highlights, and demonstrate the support available to students at The New School Libraries.
This workshop is open to all students who have never used an academic library and will support students who:
⦁ Are the first generation to attend college
⦁ Have never used an academic library in the United States
⦁ Have limited time due to full-time jobs or caregiving
⦁ Are returning to higher education
