Idaho Reports Season 54 begins at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, January 8, on Idaho Public Television.

Starting January 8th, Idaho Reports is moving to Thursday nights at 8:30 pm.


But while the program is switching showtimes, it’s staying true to its mission. As it enters its 54th season, Idaho Reports continues to deliver in-depth panel discussions and interviews with policy makers and stakeholders on issues affecting Idahoans’ daily lives.


Each week of the legislative session, we'll bring policy analysis and news updates to viewers like you in every corner of the state, including how Medicaid cuts could affect healthcare services for all Idahoans, what’s next in education policy proposals, and how lawmakers are navigating a multimillion-dollar budget shortfall.

Rep. Tanner offered Appropriations chair; more House committee shakeups to come

Speaker Mike Moyle confirmed to Idaho Reports on Wednesday that he plans to name Rep. Josh Tanner as co-chair of the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee.


“Honestly, I haven’t made a decision at this point,” Tanner told Idaho Reports on Wednesday evening. “Am I the best fit, or can we bring in somebody else?”

Upcoming budget reductions could undercut Idaho cybersecurity

The state of Idaho’s cybersecurity system stops an average of 400 million malicious activities every week. Despite growing cyber threats, budget pressures are keeping some state agencies from asking to fund the technology to keep Idahoans’ data secure.
