We are excited to introduce the My Housing Applicant Portal, a new, user-friendly online tool designed to enhance communication and simplify access to vital information regarding your Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher application(s) for Tenant Based Voucher and/or Project Based Voucher projects.  

Key features of the Applicant Portal include real-time updates on your waiting list applications and your current status. Additionally, you can conveniently upload documents and easily submit changes, such as updates to your address, phone numbers, or family composition.  

Our records show that you have an active application in the jurisdiction that we cover: New York City 

Since you have an active application on the New York Housing Choice Voucher list, you will be able to use the My Housing Portal to add your name to the waiting list for additional Project Based Voucher projects in NYC. Project Based Voucher projects have Section 8 vouchers tied to specific buildings, and often have additional eligibility rules. See the listing in the My Housing Portal for a full list of projects that you may qualify for. 

This opportunity to add your name to additional lists is time-limited – please do so by October 7th, 2025.

To register in the portal and link to your existing application, you will need the Entity ID number provided. Scan the QR Code. Please note that if you have an active application in a different county, you may get another letter from the organization which covers that area. Your Entity ID number should be the same even if you receive multiple letters. If you have already registered, then you do not need to register again.
